Prince Charles urges people to stop eating endangered fish
At a gala dinner to raise funds for the
Marine Stewardship Council, the UK's Prince Charles
has urged people to only eat fish which are not in decline...
At present stocks of cod are down to
only 10% of their 1970 levels and there is a distinct possibility that the, once bountiful,
cod fishery will collapse - as the Canadian Grand Banks fishery already has - unless drastic changes are made to both the
quantities of fish that are caught and
the ways in which fisherman capture them.
