Two environmental organisations from the USA, Riverkeeper and the Natural Resources Defense Council, have just been added to Earth-Info.Net's permanent links...

Riverkeeper, is an advocacy group that monitors the Hudson River ecosystem and challenges polluters, using both legal + grass roots campaigns.

Since 1983, Riverkeeper, has investigated and brought to justice more than 300 environmental criminals. This group's determined work therefore helps to safeguard the ecological integrity of the Hudson River, its tributaries and the watershed of New York City (protecting the city's drinking water supply) by tracking down + stopping polluters.

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) have also mastered the effective use of the law, science + 500,000 members in order to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and "ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things".

The NRDC are currently challenging changes to Clean Air Rules for utilities, refineries and manufacturers + are fighting to protect Florida's Everglades as well as Chile's Olivillo Forest...
