Last week Greg Martin got in touch to ask how the talks from the Oxford Earth Summit had been put on the internet, as he is planning to set up an online radio station covering HIV/AIDS issues in South Africa...

I gave him as much advice as I was able, but would recommend that anyone else wishing to set up an online radio station makes full use of the detailed, easy-to-understand + free technical help offered by One World Radio.

Their excellent advice covers issues such as the advantages and disadvantages of different types of audio file, the hardware you will need in order to create audio files, the software to use (and how it works), how to produce mp3s or Real Audio files and how to edit your audio files...

I certainly wish I'd known about their help when I was trying to work out what to do + am sure it will be of help to anyone else who would like to reach a particular community... or even the rest of the world... using audio!
