The
CIA has produced an interesting assessment based on
a dialogue about the future with non-government experts called
Global Trends 2015.
I won't spoil any of the surprises by telling you what's in it but will instead recommend that you read the
4 "alternate" scenarios outlined at the end of the assessment for yourself...
Many would have you believe that scenario 1 is the most likely but
what do you think?

What is it about 2015?
Is
2010 too soon for any government or global organisation to do anything?
Is
2020 too great an admission of impotence?
What about doing something useful for the whole of humanity within the
next couple of years?
